Tips to Boost Memory and Concentration

Are you like many people who have trouble remembering things? I sometimes feel like I’m in a brain fog. I can think of many times when I have that foggy brain feeling: when I’ve not had enough sleep, when I’m frustrated or stressed, or just when I am trying to remember something that I know I should remember but wasn’t giving my full attention to. I question whether my memory loss is normal. It’s like my brain just does not want to hold on to information that it feels is extraneous. Sometimes the info deemed extraneous turns out to be needed after all, though, and there’s the rub.

What do you do when you have memory problems? Now let me preface all of this by saying that I am not a doctor and can’t offer you medical advice. I’ve done research on the topic of ways to improve memory loss and concentration for myself, and I’m just passing on what I found out.

One thing research says we should do is get more sleep. It’s not surprise that many of us aren’t sleeping enough. We have busy lives. Now more than ever, we are plugged in nonstop with our laptops, tablets, cell phones, and even televisions. It’s hard to turn off our electronic devices to get the boring old sleep that we really need. Am I right? It’s been stated for years that adults need 8 hours of sleep. Are you getting at least that? Nope. Didn’t think so.

Another thing we can try doing when we notice that we are having memory problems is try to clean up our diets. Eating the recommended amounts of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains is not only good for our body, but also for our mind.

We should also make sure to get enough to drink. Dehydration can lead to memory loss and confusion. We should all do our best to put down the soda and pick up a bottle (or 4) of water. You might notice other positives from drinking more water such as an improved appearance of our skin. It’s worth a shot!

Another thing that might cause memory loss and a lack of concentration is being depressed. Depression can make it difficult for an individual to focus on their everyday tasks. Sometimes, people are hesitant to get help for depression because they feel there is a certain stigma attached to doing so. I suffer from anxiety, myself. I have had to receive help for it because it effects my life. I have found that it helps me to receive treatment for my anxiety. I can find ways of dealing with my anxiety more appropriately, and I don’t have the overwhelming sense of feeling like everything is bearing down on me.

Another option for helping with memory loss is to take a brain health supplement. I got the chance to review one called Excelerol. It bills itself as the world’s #1 brain health supplement. Excelerol is full of ingredients that support brain health. If your brain is anything like mine, it can use all the support it can possibly get.

It might be that Excelerol is a product that would benefit you. Once you take Excelerol, the effects can last up to six hours. That means that if you know you will have a need for increased concentration and memory, you can take the product to help you get that extra boost of focus. The product is vegetarian, and nonprescription. There are a lot of good reviews for the product on Amazon, so they must be doing something right. You can check some of them out or you can get more information about Excelerol and purchase some for yourself, here.

Do you suffer from memory loss and lack of concentration? What have you done that has been successful? I’d love to read any tips you have to offer!
