If you are one of the millions of people who want to shape up this year, the best way to do so is to make it easy. One way to make things easy for yourself is to start a realistic meal plan. Starting January 5, you can do just that. You can participate in the 30-Day Realistic Challenge on SparkPeople.com or use the app available on iTunes or Google Play.

Another way to make eating healthier easier is to get products that take very little time to prepare. Gorton’s has some great products that make it easy to eat healthy. Just pop them in the oven and you are on your way to a healthy meal.

my favorite: the tilapia

I really like the Simply Bake products from Gorton’s. We have tried both the tilapia and salmon. They are so easy to prepare! The products come in a bag and you simply put them on a baking sheet and pop them in the oven. They are excellent with a baked potato and your favorite veggie. We have purchased these products even when we don’t have coupons because they are so easy to prepare (pssst! Here’s a coupon for Gorton’s products here).

I am not a huge fan of fish. I never liked it growing up. The only fish I used to like was tuna fish…not tuna steaks, tuna fish. The kind mixed up deliciously with mayo, mustard, eggs, and relish. I still love that stuff. However, as an adult I have branched out a bit. I don’t just eat tuna fish. I started out eating fried catfish. Then, my husband’s doctor told him how important it is to eat fish in our diet so we started eating salmon. Our grocery stores don’t really have fresh salmon. Well, not reliably anyway. If you suddenly have a craving for salmon in our town, it will probably have to be frozen because they may not even have fresh available.

If it is the same way for you, you can try Gorton’s. They have a line of gluten free, low fat entrees. They are the Grilled Fillets. The most awesome thing about these is that they are 100 calories or less. I will definitely use some of my freebie coupons to try the grilled tilapia…and maybe the haddock too. I’ve never had that. If you are not sure if you are a fan of fish, you should try tilapia. That is my favorite because it is so mild and doesn’t have the fishy taste that turns some people (ME!ME!ME!) off of fish. Why not try to win some coupons to try it for yourself?? Well, I have a prize pack to give away. Here’s what’s in it:

My primary goal is to no longer eat restaurant food. I technically started this in August, but I want to continue through the new year and beyond.
