Do you love photobooks? I absolutely adore them. We have had a few made of our little boy since he was born, but before he was born I had never seen them before. A photobook is like your own book with all the photos that you choose. You can get really creative when designing the photobook or you can let the program randomly put the pictures into a book for you. I had the chance to review a 20-page, 11×8.5 landscape, hardcover photo book from Mixbook.com
If you like to have your photobooks look just so (like me), you design them yourself. You upload the pictures that you want in the book. You can put them in the book in the order that you want. I like doing the books myself because the books are like a story.
The first photobook I made has pictures of the night before I went into the hospital to deliver my little boy. It has our first family picture in the operating room, and the first bath photos. It has pictures of me when I am still kinda out of it recovering in the hospital room while my husband is holding his first child. It has pictures up until the time when my little boy was about two months old.
The next picture book that I have has pictures from the time that my boy was about three months until he was about seven or eight years old. It has him crawling for the first time, our first beach trip, and a couple of other firsts. Priceless!
Photobooks by Mixbook are easy to make. I made a custom photobook myself. But if you would rather not place the photos yourself like if you are in a hurry, they have an option where you can click if you want Mixbook to make the book for you. The photobooks still turn out to be awesome. This is an option for those who don’t really like to spend a lot of time poring over ever single detail.
I got my mixbook in the mail on July 16th and it is beautiful! It is definitely high quality and I love the way my pictures turned out. I used some of the little scrapbook features on the site and it turned out really well. I’m so pleased with it!
