Spring is just about to roll around and most people are thinking about ways to save money. Every little bit helps, after all. Are you looking for ways to save money this spring? One thing you can do is to buy items used when you can. You might be surprised at how much money you can save when you buy things used.
One place to find used items is yard sales. You can certainly score some great deals when you buy used items at yard sales and you can often haggle with the sellers to get items super cheap. The best way to save money at yard sales is to go out early. The early bird gets the worm! When you get out there before the crowd does, you will have the benefits of seeing all of the items the sellers have. The later you get out, the less chance you will have of finding what you are looking for because many people might be looking for the same item. The key to saving money is to think creatively. If you are looking for furniture for your home, could you possibly get some furniture that you can refinish on your own to make it really exceptional? With a little creativity, you can find a bargain on some second-hand furniture.
Another place to find used items is at consignment stores and stores like Goodwill and Salvation Army. The great thing about shopping at places like these are that you can often find some really nice items of clothing at affordable prices. Sometimes there are people who simply get bored with their wardrobe and donate it to get it out of their closet. You might be able to find designer clothing at a very reasonable price. If you like shopping and enjoy finding a good bargain, this might be a way to save a lot of money on clothes, shoes, and items for the home.
Another way to save money is to use the Rather Be Shopping app. I wrote a post about it earlier this school year and you can read more about what it does here. It is a way to get thousands of coupons delivered to your mobile phone for free. And the fine folks at Rather Be Shopping are sponsoring a giveaway for $500!!!! Would you like to win? Use the rafflecopter widget below. I hope one of my readers wins :). If you do, let me know!!
