They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Do you make time for it? Before I was pregnant, I would never eat breakfast. I would just wake up, take a shower, get dressed, and go to work. But I would need something to eat when my kids would go out to recess because I would be starving. After I became pregnant I HAD to eat. There is no hunger like pregnancy hunger. When you have to eat you have to eat. At least that’s the way it was for me.
When I was pregnant I did the best that I could to eat something healthy to start my day. I would make fresh fruit smoothies some days. Other days I would eat yogurt. That was fine to start with. However, the further I got along in my pregnancy I started to add more and more to breakfast.
I was sure that after I had my child I would not want breakfast anymore. Boy was I wrong. I now eat breakfast every day- even during the summer time . If I skip breakfast I feel like I’ve missed something for the rest of the day. That part is probably all in my head but I definitely know that breakfast is important.
Have you had the chance to try the new Honey Bunches of Oats with fruit? I was sent a sample of Honey Bunches of Oat cereal- which I love! I love the little crunchy bunches of oats. That is my favorite part. I am not really a huge fan of cereal because I don’t like cereal with flakes because it tends to get soggy before I can finish a bowl. So, as weird as this may seem, I eat Frosted Flakes without milk. Weird, I know. I like Honey Bunches of Oats though because the oat bunches give me the crunch that I like so it doesn’t seem like I’m eating a bowl of mush as flake cereal seems to me many times.
