The mantra is very simple: work hard, reap the profits. If you’re planning to start in the secret shopping business it will do you good to understand the industry and how it works. You don’t want to start mystery shopping only to stare at inevitable failure.

Here are some ideas to help you determine what mystery shopping companies are looking for in mystery shoppers. They need to find professional shoppers. Shoppers need to know what they have to do and should be trustworthy. Mystery shopping is not a difficult task but you do have to be able to follow directions and pay attention to detal. Everyone has to start somewhere so don’t worry if you are new to the biz.

If you are new to mystery shopping, try to establish yourself as a mystery shopper by trying many different types of shops. You need to have a list of corporate companies you will be mystery shopping for and you should be able to find a nice bit of variety.     I am planning on creating a secret shopper business. Are there lots of competition out there. Is there any company that specializes in the Chicago area? Is the first step to create a website?

      I am not really familiar with the process of creating a secret shopper business. I wish I could point you in the right direction. Maybe ask the MSPA?
